Mayra Navarro is a journalist, writer, speaker, and communications consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and Leadership from Alef University, where she graduated with honors. She also studied journalism at the National Autonomous University of Honduras and marketing and public relations at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico.
She has worked as a journalist for 45 years in Honduras, where she has been director of the most important television news programs, a columnist for newspapers and magazines, and a media executive. She worked as a correspondent for CNN en Español and Univision.
She has been honored in Honduras with several awards and recognitions and in 1999 she won an Emmy Award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences of the United States with the Univision team.
