Dr. Eliseo Vila
Currently President of CLIE Publishing House. Economist, journalist, writer, and theologian.


Dr. Vila was born in Terrassa (Barcelona), Spain, on July 3, 1944, the son of Samuel and Lidia Vila, founders of CLIE Publishing House, of which he is currently President.
He is an economist, journalist, writer, and theologian.
As a theologian, he has carried out and continues to carry out significant interdenominational teaching among pastors and theology students throughout the Americas, giving classes, lectures, and seminars at leading theological institutions, ministerial associations, and churches in every Latin American country. He is widely known for his appearances on numerous radio and television programs. He is an active member of the Standing Committee of the Federation of Evangelical Religious Entities of Spain. He has participated as a guest speaker at numerous interfaith events.
As a journalist, he was the founder and editor of the magazines España Cristiana and Página Abierta. He has contributed to numerous national and international news outlets. An active member of the Spanish Association of Press, Radio, and Television Journalists, the Spanish Federation of Tourism Journalists and Writers, APECTUR, and the Madrid International Press Club.
As an economist, he holds a PhD in Economics, a Master's degree in Tax Law, and a diploma in International Agreements from the European Center for Business Studies. He played a prominent role on the Negotiating Committee for the Cooperation Agreements between the Spanish Government and FEREDE and currently serves on their Monitoring Committee. He is a member of the Spanish Association of Executives (AED) and President of the Foreign Trade Committee of the CECOT Business Confederation and the Exporters' Club. He has lectured at official institutions, before parliamentary groups, and at various universities in Latin America. He holds the honors of "Distinguished Visitor" from Mariano Gálvez University in Guatemala (1999) and of Distinguished Guest and "Professor Absent" from the Graduate School of the National University of Trujillo in Peru (2002), which, after a series of lectures on globalization, awarded him the University's medal with a red ribbon for "his high scientific output and academic excellence."
He is married to Ana María García.
