Dr. Hugo Melvin Aldana

Rev. Hugo Melvin Aldana received an honorary doctorate on February 26, 2022. He holds a master's degree from Azusa University and is an ordained minister of the Church of the Nazarene. He began his ministry with the Quakers of eastern Guatemala, where he served as an itinerant evangelist, preaching and performing music. He pastored a church in Puerto Barrios, where he achieved great success, also serving as district superintendent. He later moved to Los Angeles, where he has served as pastor of the Panorama City church. From there, he has led a highly influential radio ministry for the Church in eastern Guatemala, serving as an instrument for the evangelization of thousands. He has served God for over fifty years and has been an exemplary leader in ethics and service.
