Dr. Ivan Clemente

Founder of the largest food distribution center for the underprivileged in Puerto Rico

Mr. Iván Clemente received an honorary doctorate on May 29, 2023. Born in a Puerto Rican prison as an unwanted child, Iván Clemente was chosen by God to do a great ministry. His first ministry was evangelizing to the nations, preaching in more than 50 countries. He then settled into the ministry that would bring him lasting impact. He founded the largest food distribution center for the impoverished in Puerto Rico. Thousands of people with limited resources benefit from the ministry of Chef Clemente, as he is known. Iván Clemente embodies the values of social justice championed by Alef University.
