Master's degree in Christian theology

The master's program is designed for people with a university degree, regardless of their academic background, or a seminary degree.

The master's program is designed for individuals with a bachelor's degree, regardless of their academic background, or a seminary degree. This program consists of 12 courses plus a portfolio or thesis, depending on the chosen track. Students will take six courses per year. Each course is worth three credits, during which students will complete research, readings, and other assignments.


General skills

  • Ability to adapt to change by accepting and integrating new ideas and information, as well as supporting change initiatives.

  • Ability to work in a team by interacting effectively with people from different denominational backgrounds, listening to and incorporating other points of view.

  • Identify areas of personal development need in order to undergo learning processes to expand their knowledge and skills.

  • Systematic understanding of biblical-theological sciences that creates mastery of the skills and research methods related to Christian thought

  • Ability to communicate with the academic and ecclesial community as well as with society in general about their areas of knowledge

  • To develop a teaching and research career in the field of biblical-theological sciences and any other ministerial activity that requires a high level of theological training.

  • Ability to advise the various Church institutions in the corresponding competencies, such as the development of study programs, theological research projects or participation in social or political issues of society, etc.


Admission Requirements

  • Possess a university degree or a degree in theology.


Duration

The duration of this program is two years plus the time it takes to prepare a thesis.
